Today's superstar sounds surprisingly "dated" the following week, only to be replaced by the next flavor du jour. Jesus Christ Superstar - this studio album - has stood the test of time, perhaps partially because of the timeless story its centered around but also, in my opinion, because of the brilliant song-writing and performances assembled here.
