Shadow Type: Okay, there are two settings that make a massive difference in Mount & Blade 2, and this is the only one that doesn't affect the game itself. no pack animal don't do that only riding horses do. the two animal that increase capacity like mule and sumpter horses don't increase your movement speed passively. It does matter and if you shoot lots of AI infantry, both personally and with a massive raged force you'll notice a general difference in ease against smaller shields. That doesn't mean you shouldn't use the troops you favor though.
