Visit all the exteriors and courtyards (free of charge). Open daily between 6am – 10pm. Relax your feet and enjoy the views from Prague Castle gardens (free of charge), entrance via Bull stair on the 3rd courtyard (CLOSED DURING THE WINTER). Climb up the Great South Tower of St. Vitus Cathedral (150 CZK).
Bratislava Castle . Bratislava Castle dates back to as early as the 10th century, however it was rebuilt numerous times and the last time it was renovated was in the 2000s. The castle is a huge rectangular building with four distinctive towers, but it doesn't resemble those Disney-style castles.

First-timers guide to Prague – View from Prague Castle. Looking out for the “old” as a first timer in Prague is not difficult. An very old castle, with interesting architecture. It can be reached coming from Prague by S7 train. It’s a 45 minutes trip. From the train station you have to walk about 2km on a road that climbs a slight slope (on the last portion it becomes a bit steeper). The castle can be visited only on a guided tour.

Well worth the visit. Mar 2020 • Friends. More a huge walled city complex than a castle the climb up for the view alone is worth it. Entry to the castle complex is free but if you want to go into the various churches and palace rooms you need to purchase a ticket.

From exploring the medieval Old Town’s cobblestone streets and walking across the beautiful Charles Bridge, to discovering the largest castle complex in the world, taking a river cruise, and marveling at the many bright-colored Renaissance-style façades and Gothic spires, Prague couldn’t be more worth visiting!
